Back Garden in Hebburn, Tyne and Wear Gets a New Lease of Life With Easigrass Fake Turf
Mr H originally contacted Easigrass last year when he was first considering having artificial grass installed into his back garden. His garden was lower than the surrounding area and was only accessed via steps. He listened to our advice and wanted to landscape his garden first with large planters. With his busy work schedule he needs a low maintenance area that he can use all year round.
Mr H called us back in the new year and wanted us to come back out to have a look at his progression in his garden and place an order for his artificial grass to be installed by us. He chose Easi-Kensington for its dense pile and dark colour to contrast his natural coloured sleeper raised beds. The area was 33 square meters and was due to take us one day to install the lawn.
My new lawn looks excellent im very pleased with it.
Mr H - Hebburn, Tyne and Wear
During the install instead of removing the earth from the garden we used it to back fill Mr H's raised planters so that he had less to fill when he was at that stage. The team stripped the turf and prepared the are as normal with our yellow aggregate base of crushed stone which is compacted down to give a firm base for us to work from. We then installed our next layer of sand and grit which is red in colour on our photographs of the install. This surface is again compacted but is then made level by screeding the surface ready for our fake grass.
The team then installed the artificial grass in Hebburn and cut it down to shape. They then covered the grass with kiln dried sand to hold it in place whilst they do the final cuts on the lawn. Once the lawn was in place the team then mechanically brush the kiln dried sand into the base of the lawn and finish off by giving the lawn a light hosing to get rid of any residue sand.
