Easigrass Strike Again in New Build Ryton Back Garden
Mr and Mrs G got in touch with Easigrass as they were wanting to see our range of false grass and get a quote on having it installed. They live in a brand new build and like most new builds the lawn struggled to grow due to the poor quality of the soil. Mrs G is due to have a baby and they wanted the back garden to be as low maintenance as possible so along with the existing patio and shed our artifical grass would be a perfect match.
Our surveyor visited the soon to be family home and after a short while it was obvious they wanted our current Chelsea range. This was due to its soft touch but thick pile given it a lush lawn look once installed. they agreed on a price and a deal was made.
we are very happy with what the guys have done. great job well done
Mrs G - Ryton, Tyne and Wear
The lawn itself was only a small size at 16 square maters but had a quirky shape due to the paving that the builders had installed. The couple also decided that they would like a gravel border down one side to keep within the width of the grass at 4 meters. The team arrived to start the install. Firstly they used a turf cutter to strip the surface and remove the waste. next they set about installing the aggregate base we use on every job. The first step is to infill the area with dolomite and compact it down using a whacker plate which creates a hard surface for us to work from. Next we install ballast which is a mix of sand and grit but is not sand popular to belief. If we were to use sand at this point the new lawn would not remain level for long as there would be lumps and bumps due to the soft surface underneath. The ballast is compacted down then a trowel used to screed the surface creating a perfectly flat top.
One the aggregate layers are finished the next stage is to add the geotextile weed barrier. This is pinned in place to hold it down whilst installing the grass. The chosen artificial grass range is then laid in place and secured down with bags of kiln dried sand whilst the cutting and joining is completed. Once the lawn is cut and is in place the sand is then evenly distributed across the lawn which acts as a weight and is then mechanically brushed into the base. After a quick hose down the new artificial grass installation in Ryton is left looking fantastic and ready to use.

Lovely Low Maintenance Front Lawn in Ryton Looks The Part With False Grass
Mrs A contacted us at artificial Grass North East as she wanted us to visit her to have a look at her front lawn and give her a quotation on installing our award winning artificial grass. She had a shared lawn with her neighbour which had a small rockery with some bedding plants within. The idea of getting artificial grass was to make it easier to maintain and not have to worry about planting new bedding plants and removing weeds. After looking at our grass range she loved our Knightsbridge range so decided to place an order on receiving her quotation.
Thank you very much for a good job. I love it and will save me the worry of cutting it
Mrs A - Ryton
Our team of installers arrived to install the new lawn. The first step is to divide the gardens and set a straight line so that the turf can be removed. We use turf cutters to do this which cuts the turf into manageable strips that can be easily removed and taken away. Once the entire area has been stripped down to our required depth the team set about putting the dived in to separate next doors lawn from her own. On this occasion we recommended using steel edging as it will create a solid dived and prevent any lawn mowers etc from damaging the new lawn whilst cutting next doors grass.
The team now start installing the new base. The main reasons that you have to lay artificial grass like this is to prevent sinkage and it wont look very sightly if it is just laid over grass or soil. The first part of the new base is made up of dolomite which is crushed stone. This is compacted using vibrating plates so create a hard surface that will not sink. The second part of the install is using granno dust which is a mixture of grit and fine stone. This is levelled off and again is compacted to ensure the area stays level.

The chosen artificial grass range is then laid in place and secured down with bags of kiln dried sand whilst the cutting and joining is completed. Once the lawn is cut and is in place the sand is then evenly distributed across the lawn which acts as a weight. This is then mechanically brushed into the base using mechanical rotary brushes. After a quick hose down the new artificial grass installation in Ryton is left looking great and will continue to so for years to come.
