Killingworth Back Garden Looks the Part with easigrass false turf
Mrs W messaged easigrass on our Facebook page when she saw one of our adverts on her home page. She instantly knew that her garden was in need of artificial grass for her kids to play on as it was a soggy mess and not usable for most of the year. We visited her at home to show her the grass on offer and she took to our Chelsea range straight away with its soft 40mm pile it was perfect for her garden. She placed an order and we set about getting her installation ready.
I'm very happy with the work the lads have done. the garden looks fantastic now its complete. Great service
Mrs W - Killingworth
Our team arrived to install the grass. the first job was to remove the existing surface which was a full garden of existing grass. Once this has been done our team is left with a blank canvas to start the install. ON this installation the customer had requested our easi-edge to be installed as the lawn was only making up part of the garden as the rest was to be decoratively stoned. once this has been installed they set about back infilling the area with the first aggregate base which is dolomite - crushed stone and this is compacted down using a whacker plate to prevent any future sinkage. They then install a second part aggregate which is ballast. This is made up of sand, grit and fine stone and again it is compacted down. The team then screed the surface ensuring that it is perfectly flat ready for the grass to be laid.
The next phase is to install the weed membrane. the membrane is pinned down so it doesn't' move during the grass fitting. The new false turf is laid out in place and is held down using bags of kiln dried sand so that is does not move whilst it is trimmed and joined. The jointing strip is laid out along the join and adhesive is added. The joins are met and applied by the team ensuring the gap is equal and no glue spills out.
Lastly the team spread the kiln dried sand across the lawn before it is brushed into the base of the lawn using mechanical brushes. Lastly the lawn gets a light hose down leaving it looking fresh and visually fantastic.
