Recent Artificial Grass Yard Installation
Back Yard Install
A common Question for us is, Can you fit artificial grass to Concrete, Paving, Block Paving or even wooden decking. The Answer is an emphatic YES. Another common question as it was this young couple is, When it is down is it safe for children to play on?
The answer is a big yes. Due to it’s thick and even pile it is some would argue it is actually safer than turf. Real lawns in the summer can be as hard as concrete and due to the scarcity of the pile during long warm weather periods knees and heads can get bruised as a result.
Another point is that on hard surfaces a thick rubber shock pad can be installed as an added layer of protection for little ones prior to laying this artificial grass in Heaton.
The great thing is with our brand of artificial grass this customer chose, comes in a 40mm thick pile, this can be better than others in the market place because a shock pad is not always needed cutting costs to the customer.
Our customer, in this case, chose not to have the shock pad. Another question particular to concrete, Stone or other dry fit methods is what about drainage or how will it drain.
The answer is the artificial grass is porous, and also has small holes across the entire backing surface to allow drainage. Our installers used a dry fit method using a spot gluing method to secure the lawn to the concrete this allows for rain and or other liquids to drain easily.
The drain covers are easy to access and there are several options on how we would do this either by cutting an access flap or by allowing the grass to pulled back. Our customer is over the moon with their newly transformed back yard that is usually grey and unused and is now a beautiful area that can be enjoyed by all of the family.
