The block paved edging and patio are very nice all it needed was a nice lawn to complement it. The install team begin by removing the tired old lawn down to the optimum depth to begin the task of preparing our subbase.

This doesn’t take long with our turf cutter and our hardworking teams. The geo textile weed barrier is installed into the lawn area as no-one likes to weed a lawn even an artificial one. The crushed stone is then compacted on top of the weed barrier ready for the next layer.

We don’t use a sharp sand that will compact when wet we use a granite dust to give a firm base with no subsidence to leave puddles on the new artificial lawn.

This is screeded and compacted ready for the introduction of the new grass lauded for its authentic pile and look.

This is then shaped and cut into the block paved edge and wall. A layer of silica sand is the mechanically brushed deep into the pile of the grass to give it weight and the lawn is given a gentle hosing down.

This professional couple now have a low maintenance and beautiful lawn to enjoy for many years.
