Recent Fatfield Artificial Grass Installation
How fantastic does this look? What a complete transformation from a paved garden to a luxurious lawn in one day. Even the surrounding paving stones look newer.
Back Garden 30m2 in Fatfield
Everything we dig up, we take away. The old paving needs to be peeled back to expose the bare soil below. We start by digging down to the required depth for our subbase.
This has to be done properly so as not to have issues later with subsidence or weeds growing up through the artificial grass. So we start with a geotextile weed barrier, which is followed by a layer of crushed stone which is compacted to create a hard surface.
The team then screed a layer of granno dust into place the also compacted it down with our whacker plate. Now that we have a firm sub-base which will not subside or allow anything to grow through, we can look at installing the artificial grass.
The customer chose our famous award winning grass. This is the ideal artificial grass for a natural look and soft feel underfoot. The grass is rolled out and held down with sandbags while the installers cut and shape the grass.
It is a direct replacement for the old grass and is cut right up to the surrounding fences and paving and looks fantastic. A layer of silica or kiln dried sand is then evenly spread and mechanically brushed into the pile of grass to give it weight.
Our customer was also happy that the team cleaned the whole area down with a hose and the paving as well. This lovely garden has been transformed for this customer, who can now enjoy this fantastic outside area for a BBQ and to soak up the sun.
