Recent Seaton Delaval Artificial Grass Installation
Clearly this garden has been well maintained for many years but now this retired couple just want to enjoy their retirement and to just lock up and go away a few times a year and who can blame them.
Recent Project: Back Garden in Seaton Delaval Transforms With Artificial Grass
The install team began by removing the tired old lawn down to the optimum depth to begin the task of preparing our subbase. This doesn’t take long with our turf cutter and our hardworking teams. The geo textile weed barrier is then trimmed into the lawn area as no one likes to weed a lawn, even an artificial one.
The crushed stone is then compacted on top of the weed barrier, ready for the next layer, No we don’t use sharp sand that will compact when wet we use granite dust to give a firm base with no subsidence to leave puddles on the new artificial lawn. This is screeded and compacted ready.
The grass is placed & is then shaped and cut, and a timber edge for the fence line is hidden by the new grass and pinned into place. A layer of silica sand is mechanically brushed deep into the pile of grass to give it weight, and the lawn is given a gentle hosing down.
Even trees present no problem for our installation team skillfully cutting the grass around the tree. The gazebo even has been given an upgrade & the rockery border is an improvement. The whole area, including paths, is left better than we found it and is all part of the fantastic service.
The customers pop out to inspect their near maintenance free lawn with big smiles all around for this retired couple to enjoy for many years to come.
