This is where the Artificial Grass North East Installation team excels. Transforming a lawn that will barely grow feels like a plowed field and traipses mud up the new decking and into the family home into a lush green lawn for the whole family to enjoy.

A lawn that comes with a full 8-year guarantee and will last over 20 years when well cared for. So we start by removing the current grass and soil surface down to the required depth and installing a weed barrier before we start installing the new base.

This is followed by a layer of crushed stone (dolomite) which is compacted to create a hard flat surface. The team then screed a layer of the preferred granite dust and also compact it down with our whacker plate.

We use granno dust over sharp sand as it will outlast the latter by a long way and will not divet underfoot. Now we have a firm subbase which will not subside or allow anything to grow through it, the artificial grass can be laid. 

This is the Ideal artificial grass for a natural look and soft feel underfoot. The grass is rolled out and held down with sandbags while the installers cut and shape the grass. It is a direct replacement for the old grass and is cut right up to the surrounding fences and Paving and looks fantastic. A layer of silica or kiln dried sand is then evenly spread and mechanically brushed into the pile of grass to give it weight.

The whole area is given a gentle hosing with clean water, and this happy family has a new artificial lawn and garden to be proud of for many fun-filled years
