Recent Stanley Artificial Grass Installation

Recent Project: 16m2 Easigrass Chelsea Front Garden in Stanley
The team get to work straight away by stripping away the old turf to the level required for the new sub base, taking it away with us so no skip required. Preparing our tried and tested process for the sub base is started with a geo textile weed barrier as anything growing up through the new artificial grass would be a definite no no.
Next is a crushed stone dolomite which is then compacted down Then a Granite dust is screeded onto the surface and likewise compacted down to create a firm surface for the Knightsbridge Branded artificial lawn to sit on.
This then held in place with sandbags and a timber frame is place around the lawn to create a border. The Installation team then carry out any joins using a glue strip and a strong adhesive
The lawn is cut to shape and then pinned down all around onto the timber frame previously installed. The team then spread a kiln dried sand over the lawn and using a mechanical broom, brush the sand deep into the pile to give it weight and to help the blades of grass stand proud.
Not only do the installation team take all the old grass and soil away but they also clean the hole area started by hosing the lawn gently and then the surround path Pavement and road leaving the whole area better than they found it and ready for the happy couple to admire their new Easigrass lawn and for their neighbours to gaze on with envy.
